Let's Paint Together! Session #3 ~ TEXTURE

This is a 90-minute recording of a painting session where we will use acrylic paint to playfully experiment with various ways to create texture in the context of abstract works (though these techniques can be used for any composition in the future).

This session is for seasoned or dabbling artists AND anyone who feels the whisper of their artistic interest but hasn't explored it yet.

No experience or skills needed!

In this session:

  • I briefly share about my mindset as an artist
  • I lead a painting exercise to get us in the flow
  • I guide us through ways I like to build and create texture in my abstract paintings

You will receive a list of materials including links to the specific paints, paper and other material that I use (you do not need the same materials as me, you can use whatever you have or prefer).

Prepare to play with texture and enjoy!

~ Krista B.

"Sarah - you were both generous and a rockstar for sharing your process and art on yesterday’s class. I liked that you shared art can be pretty solitary and reminded us to be kind to ourselves as we balance focus - outcome - and play-learning. Thank you!!!"

~ Grace S.

"Thank you Sarah, I learned so much today and will transfer this to my own creative practice. Talking about getting into a playful, nonjudgmental mindset was so helpful. Just what I needed 🫶"

~ Krystel
